The King of Nails and The Clean Beauty Debate

Leighton Denny MBE started his career as a fork-lift driver but eventually became one of the most in-demand manicurists in the world. Celebrities including Joan Collins flocked to him to have their nails done. Soon his empire grew. He owned a huge beauty salon in central London and launched successful nail, lipstick and perfume brands. Leighton is the ultimate entrepreneur and his story is fascinating. He also has great nailcare advice and a brilliant sense of humour. You’ll love him!

In the second part of the episode I’m joined by Karen Ballou, the founder of clean skincare brand Immunocologie. We did a live debate about whether the future of skincare is clean and it’s a really interesting listen, particularly if you can’t decide which skincare “tribe” you belong to and worry that using certain skincare ingredients might have a negative effect on your health.

Finally, I give some great recommendations including an old favourite cleanser that I’ve fallen in love with all over again.
